Jason Naismith has had his Peterborough contract cancelled by mutual consent and is expected to return to Scotland.

The 26-year-old, who managed just two appearances in the Papa John’s Trophy for Posh this season, spent part of last term on loan at Hibernian.

Naismith made 53 appearances for Peterborough after arriving at the club from Ross County in the summer of 2018.
