Huddersfield midfielder Jonathan Hogg has signed a two-year contract extension until the summer of 2023.

The 32-year-old vice-captain has scored twice in 255 appearances for the Terriers since joining from Watford in 2013.

His new deal with the Sky Bet Championship club includes the option for a further year.

Town head coach Carlos Corberan told the club website: “Keeping one of our most important players will help to give stability to our project.

“Jonathan has contributed a lot towards the best moments of this club in recent years, and he continues to be a very important player right now, making a very high contribution.”

Hogg began his senior career with Aston Villa and had loan spells at Darlington and Portsmouth before moving to Vicarage Road in 2011.
