Plymouth captain Joe Edwards has signed a new two-year deal at the club.

The 30-year-old was recently voted Argyle’s 2020-21 player of the season after scoring nine goals from his right wing-back position as the club maintained their Sky Bet League One status.

Argyle manager Ryan Lowe told the club’s official website: “I am incredibly pleased that Joe has extended his contract with us.

“He has been an excellent player and captain on and off the field during last season, and hope this can continue.”
