Shrewsbury have completed the signing of midfielder Harry Chapman on loan from Blackburn until the end of the season.

Chapman, 23, brings with him experience from previous loan spells at Sheffield United and Barnsley.

Shrews manager Steve Cotterill feels the former England under-20 international, who came through the Middlesbrough youth ranks, will offer his team flexibility.

“Harry Chapman is another young lad who will fit well into the group,” Cotterill said on the club’s official website.

“Harry can play as a 10 and in both the wide areas. He’s a player who gives us flexibility.

“He is dynamic and has done very well in the Championship previously. We are delighted to have him on board with the other lads in those areas.”
