Arsenal have had a huge boost ahead of their Europe league tie with Benfica on Thursday.

Kieran Tierney, who has missed the last six games through injury, took part in training with the first team squad as they prepared for the round of 32 first leg.

The Scot has not played since mid-January having suffered a strain to his lower leg and missed out as Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton and suffered defeats in the league at Wolves and Aston Villa.

He has been a revelation for Mikel Arteta’s side this season and his absence has been keenly felt by the north London side with his replacement Cedric lacking the impact Thierney has going forward.
