Watford pair Achraf Lazaar and Carlos Sanchez have left Vicarage Road.

The pair joined the Hornets midway through the 2020-21 campaign and depart the newly-promoted Hornets following the end of their short-term deals.

Former Newcastle defender Lazaar made five appearances, two of them starts.

Sanchez, the former Aston Villa and West Ham midfielder, made nine appearances in the Sky Bet Championship, although only two of them were starts.

Jerome Sinclair, who spent the season on loan at Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia, and Mamadou M’Baye have also left the club.

Negotiations continue with former Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot, who arrived at Vicarage Road in January but has not made a first-team appearance.

Bermuda midfielder Kane Crichlow, who made his senior debut in a Carabao Cup tie at Newport, has seen the option of a one-year extension to his contract exercised.
