Jockey Jamie Moore 'so sorry' after fall at Cheltenham Festival

Jockey Jamie Moore has apologised to fans after his heartbreaking fall at the Cheltenham Festival.

Goshen was well clear of his rivals when he clipped the final hurdle, sending Moore flying and leaving Burning Victory a clear path to victory in the Triumph Hurdle.

The distraught jockey was consoled by 20-time champion AP McCoy as he returned to the weighing room.

Moore took to Twitter to share his anguish, saying: "From the bottom of my heart I'm so sorry.

"To everyone I let down I really am sorry, it's been so tough to take but it's happened.

"Thank you to all the messages about Goshen yesterday, who was running like something not normal. I hope he gets to show how special he is. Thanks."

Burning Victory's rider Paul Townend was the Festival's leading jockey.
