Kubrat Pulev has pledged to donate half his £4m purse from his world heavyweight title fight against Anthony Joshua to aid the fight against coronavirus.

The 34 year-old was due to fight in June, but the date was moved due to the pandemic and an alternative is yet to be announced.

He told German newspaper Bild: “I will donate 50% of the money I earn from the match with Joshua to the tireless heroes in the fight against the coronavirus.

“I will give doctors, nurses and hospitals the necessary equipment to deal with this devilish virus.”

The showdown event is set to be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
