Hereford’s scheduled meeting on Sunday has been called off because of patches of false ground.

Officials cited “unseasonably high temperatures and strong winds” of late as factors in the condition of the turf.

Recent drying weather, combined with a very wet winter and large number of runners throughout the season, meant parts of the track were unraceable.
