Raymond van Barneveld beats Phil Taylor in virtual darts match raising £15k for Heroes charity

Raymond van Barneveld beat Phil Taylor in last night's virtual darts match played from their homes as they raised £15,000 to help the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

The duo battled it out on the Target Nexus Electronic Dartboard with Barneveld running out the winner 7-6.

In what was their 84th career meet, Taylor led the way 6-3 but the Dutch legend fought back in the last four legs to seal victory.

And Barney finished with an average of just over 119 and Taylor on 118.

The money raised between them will be given to the Heroes charity after bookies Paddy Power donated £1,000 for every 180 hit, with the pair hitting 15 between them.
