Saracens and England rugby player Billy Vunipola has welcomed his first child with wife Simmone.

The couple, who married in 2019, have had a son born earlier this week and 

The news was revealed in a press release updating England fans on the squad for the upcoming Autumn Nations Cup.

It read: “Billy Vunipola will join up with the squad on Sunday after the birth of his son earlier this week.”

Vunipola had announced he was expecting his first child earlier this year on The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast when he said: "I’m pretty pumped, I’ve grown up with a lot of kids in the house, whether they’re babies, toddlers, my little cousins. I think the one thing I am worried about is my sleep, I sleep through a lot of things.

“Apparently my wife has got up a lot for midnight snacks and I haven’t [woken] up. I’m hoping I’ll do the morning shifts, I’ve been getting up at 6-6.30 to try and prepare myself but I’ve been trying to put in little things for me to be better at when the baby does come.”

Vunipola will link up with England this weekend as they prepare for their first match of the cup against Georgia on November 14.

They will head into the match off the back of a Six Nations victory as England claimed the title last weekend.
