Sky Sports release hilarious video searching for Gary Neville after he insisted he would move to Papa New Guinea if Liverpool won the Premier League

Sky Sports have released a video jokingly searching for Gary Neville after the ex-Manchester United defender insisted he would move to Papa New Guinea if Liverpool won the Premier League.

The Merseyside club were crowned champions of England for the first time in 30 years on Thursday evening after Chelsea beat second place Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

And just minutes after the final whistle had blown in west London, Sky posted the video mocking Neville’s comments about what he would do if the Reds won the title.

Liverpool’s league triumph means they have pulled level with Man United on 19 top flight titles each.

The Red Devils have been deprived of Premier League success since Sir Alex Ferguson departed the club in 2013.

And this season Liverpool already sit a huge 37 points above their long-time rivals and 23 above anybody else.

Fellow Sky Sports pundit and ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also got involved in sticking the boot into Neville last night.

He posted a picture of Neville popping some champagne alongside the caption: "#19".

Neville’s back and forth with Liverpool fans has been ongoing since he famously kissed the Man United badge in front of Merseyside supporters after his side scored a 90th minute winner at Anfield back in 2006.
