Watford could all but secure their Premier League status for another season with a victory over last season’s champions Manchester City tonight.

The Hornets shocked the footballing community by sacking Nigel Pearson with just two games remaining despite him having lifted the team out of the relegation zone.

Now the club need to prove it was the right decision by consolidating their place in England’s top flight.

Watford currently sit three points above Aston Villa, who play later tonight against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Man City will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final over the weekend.

What time is kick-off?

Watford v Manchester City kicks off at 6pm GMT on Tuesday, July 21.

What channel is it on?

Coverage of the match will be live from 5:30pm on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

Sky Sports customers will be able to watch the match live through the use of the Sky Go app. For non-customers, this is £5.99 for a mobile month pass.

Team News

Etienne Capoue is expected to miss out due to injury, but Troy Deeney and Adam Masina could feature despite being taken off with knocks against West Ham.

The trio of long-term injuries to Daryl Janmaat, Gerard Deulofeu and Isaac Success rules all of them out.

Pep Guardiola is still without star striker Sergio Aguero as he is still sidelined with a knee injury.

Claudio Bravo is also out of contention but Phil Foden, Fernandinho and Rodri could all return to the first-team.
