Arsenal and England footballer Beth Mead relieved after learning there's no fracture to her leg

Arsenal forward Beth Mead has avoided a fracture to her lower leg after being injured in Sunday's 3-1 win against Everton in the Women's Super League.

The 24 year-old's X-rays have confirmed bruising and she is set to receive rehabilitation from the club to help her get "back to full fitness as soon as possible."

There is no specific timescale of when she will return to action.

Arsenal currently sit top of the table with 27 points. The England international has scored one goal in ten appearances of the season so far.
