Ashleigh Neville agrees new contract at Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ashleigh Neville has signed a new contract keeping her at the Women’s Super League side until 2022.

The 27 year-old full-back arrived at the North London club in 2017 following a stint at Coventry United.

She made an immediate impact and was named player of the season in her first campaign.

The defender continued her good form and was integral in the club’s promotion from the Championship in 2019 as well as becoming the first defender to receive the league’s Player of the Month prize in April of that year.

In the club’s maiden season in the WSL she made 12 starts as well as 16 appearances across all competitions.

Following the announcement, she said: “I’m loving every minute at Spurs, the team and staff are incredible, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

“This is where I want to be, and I can’t wait for next season to start.”
