Dina Asher-Smith wins Sportswoman of the Year title for second year running

Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith has been named Sportswoman of the Year - for the second year running.

The sprinter won a silver medal in the 100m and a gold in the 200m at the Doha World Championships in October. This made her the first British woman to win a major sprinting title.

The 23-year-old is the first person to win the Sunday Times Awards title back to back.

Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who claimed gold in the heptathlon at Doha, came second.

Team of the Year went to England netball, the second successive time they have claimed the award. They took bronze at the Netball World Cup held in Liverpool in the summer.

Jockey Khadijah Mellah won Young Sportswoman of the year after becoming the first British female Muslim jockey to win the Magnolia Cup.

Swimmer Alice Tai collected Disability Sportswoman of the Year after finishing the World Para Swimming Championships with six golds from six races making her the tournaments most decorate athlete.
