Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith and Kadeena Cox nominated for British Ethnic Diversity Sport Awards

Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith and Kadeena Cox have been nominated for the British Ethnic Diversity Sport Awards.

The awards are designed to celebrate contributions made by black and ethnic minority communities.

Asher-Smith, 24, became the 200m world champion in Doha last year and set a new national record. She also gained silver behind Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in the 100m.

Shortly before Doha, she took home the Diamond League trophy in the 100m.

Elsewhere para-athlete Kadeena Cox, 28, has also been nominated. The three-time world champion won silver in the T38 400m at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai last year.
