Great Britain's pole vaulter Holly Bradshaw believes she is in 'the best place' to medal in Tokyo

Great Britain pole vaulter Holly Bradshaw says she is 'in the best place' to medal ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The 28 year-old won in Rouen last weekend with 4.63m in the Perche Elite Tour.

Bradshaw finished with a silver medal in the European Indoor World Championships in Glasgow last year and won bronze in the outdoor equivalent a year before.

She told Metro Sport: "I really want to make the most of these next few years. I’m faster than I was and more controlled. I’m a better pole vaulter.

"Patience is not something that comes very naturally to me but we’ve been trialling the longer run with longer poles and there are promising signs. I’m just looking forward to when that approach feels more natural. I believe I’m in the best place I’ve ever been."
