Sprinter Amy Hunt wins 60m gold at British Indoor Athletics Championships

Sprinter Amy Hunt has won gold at the British Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow.

The 17 year-old crossed the line in 7.39 seconds in what was her first senior British championships. 

The world junior 200m record holder said afterwards: "This is crazy, it's my first British Champs and to come away with a gold is surreal. Everything went so well."

Alisha Rees won silver in 7.49 and Ebony Carr was close behind in third with 7.55.

In the field events, 2008 Commonwealth bronze medallist Abigail Irozuru won gold with a season's best of 6.60m in the long jump.
