Watch Venezuela's Yulimar Rojas smash world indoor triple jump record in Madrid

Venezuela's Yulimar Rojas has set a new indoor triple world record in Madrid at the final of the World Athletics Indoor Tour meeting.

The 24 year-old two-time world champion recorded 15.43m, breaking Russian Tatyana Lebedeva's previous record set in 2004 by seven centimetres.

She said afterwards: "I’m over the moon, I can’t believe I’m the world record-holder. I want to get home and cry. I need to cry to release the adrenaline I have right now.

"When I managed 15.29m so easily in the fourth round, I thought the record was definitely in my legs."
