Amanda Nunes defends bantamweight title at UFC 245 and catches the eyes of Claressa Shields

Amanda Nunes has defended her bantamweight title against Germaine de Randamie at the UFC 245 with a unanimous decision.

The fight was sealed in five rounds as the Brazilian was scored 49-44, 49-46, 49-45 by the judges at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. 

The 31 year-old secured her fifth consecutive UFC bantamweight title and marked her second victory over the Dutch fighter. 

She caught the attention of two-weight ring champion Claressa Shields who was watching cageside. Shields is eager to prove that she is the world's best women's combat sport athlete. 

Nunes said after the win: "I wanted to show everybody I have wrestling and jiu jitsu.

"We train in the gym to be ready for anything, I am ready for five rounds let's go again."
