WBA World Flyweight champion Seniesa Estrada to fight Mexican Jacky Calvo in March

American boxer Seniesa Estrada will defend her WBA World Flyweight Title against Mexican Jacky Calvo in California on March 28.

The 27 year-old from Los Angeles has won all 18 of her fights since turning professional in 2011 and beat fellow countrywoman Marlen Esparza last time out on the undercard of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's bout with Sergey Kovalev.

Estrada will take on Calvo at the Forum in Inglewood and while she has fought there four times previously, the Californian stressed that this time it will feel a little different.

She said: “This is going to be my fifth time at the Forum, but this time it’s going to be very different.

"The last four times that I fought at this venue I didn’t have a promoter. And I wasn’t making any money and I wanted to give up on my dreams. I honestly didn’t think I could make it as a boxer.

"This time coming back to the Forum, I’m at the best place in my career right now, physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m ready for a great fight.”

The bout will be an undercard fight to the main event of the evening which will see Vergil Ortiz Jr take on Samuel Vargas for the WBA Gold Welterweight title.
