Chantelle Cameron to box for world title on September 12

The news comes just ten days after Cameron was announced as Hearn’s latest signing to his promotional company Matchroom Boxing.

Along with the deal, it was also confirmed the 29 year-old’s next fight would be for a world title.

Hearn said: "I’m delighted to welcome Chantelle Cameron to the team.

"I’ve been watching her closely over the last couple of years and she’s a huge talent – exciting, relentless and punches very hard. I believe she is going to go on and become a multi-weight World Champion. Her next fight will be for a World Title and we’ll announce it in the next couple of weeks.

"Women’s boxing is on fire right now and I’m so excited to be a part of it and deliver huge nights on sky sports and DAZN."

And Cameron exclusively told NewsChain: "The frustration has played into my favour because I’m more determined now. I can’t wait to get in there and get my world title shot.

"Now knowing my next fight is a world title shot is an unbelievable feeling. All the frustration has been worth it."

It has not yet been confirmed who Cameron will be fighting for a world title or where the September 12 event will take place.
