Charlton Athletic have re-signed Lilli Maple ahead of the 2020-21 Championship season. 

The 24 year-old midfielder has made 39 appearances and will be starting her third season with the club.

 During the 2019-20 season she was named Player of the Year.

On her signing, she said: “I’m delighted to have re-signed, the club is a great place to be and my main reason for staying is because of the coaching staff and players that I’m around. I know they’ll help me keep developing and improving as a player.”

Manager Riteesh Mishra added: "Lilli last season was in the best physical shape I’ve seen her – she had a tough end to the previous season but she really worked hard in the off season and was integral to our midfield.

“She’s a great personality on and off the pitch and is important, and I’m proud of her growth over the last season.”
