Former England cricket captain Charlotte Edwards believes Natalie Sciver has been the team's standout player so far in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The 27 year-old hit her third half century in just four games against the West Indies on Sunday as England booked their place in the semi-finals of the competition.

And Edwards, who played with the in-form batter for three years before her final T20 international in 2016, singled Sciver out as the key to Lisa Keightley's side's success.

Speaking to Sky Sports after their victory over the West Indies, she said: "[England] were brilliant tonight. They haven't been successful against West Indies in World Cups but to put in that performance tonight, on not a great pitch, I think they'll be really, really pleased.

"Nat Sciver is playing the best I've ever seen her play, just so commanding at the wicket. She keeps putting in performance after performance and I guess she'll need two more big performances if we're to win the World Cup! But, without doubt, she's been our player of the tournament."

Edwards also called on Keightley to not tinker too much with the batting order now as they enter the latter stages of the tournament.

"I'd stick now with the order, Jones has got confidence down the order and Tammy will be ok at the top with Danni Wyatt, who looked great today as well," she added.

"I think there were some really good signs from the win today and whoever England get in the semis, it is more likely to be India, it will stand them in good stead."

England will find out on Tuesday whether they are to face India or Australia for a place in Sunday's final.
