New Zealand beat Bangladesh in nail-biting match and India are through to semi-finals at T20 World Cup

New Zealand just edged Bangladesh in a tense but low-scoring victory at the T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh looked as though they were going to cause an upset in their first match against the Black Caps in international cricket.

They bowled New Zealand out for 91 with 10 balls to spare.

But excellent bowling from the Kiwis kept their semi-final hopes alive as the Tigers were skittled out for 74.

New Zealand will now face defending champions Australia for a winner-takes-all match on Monday.

The victors of that game will join India in the semi-finals as they beat Sri Lanka in the day's other match.

Sri Lanka hit 113-9 as their captain Chamari Atapattu was out for 33.

India's star batswoman Shafali Verma hit 47 off 34 balls in reply before being run out.

Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma both made 15 not out to secure India's 116-3 with 32 balls spare.

The win put them at the top of Group A and through to the semi-finals.
