British cyclist Laura Kenny crashes at Track World Championships just one month after breaking shoulder
Four-time Olympic gold medallist Laura Kenny has crashed at the Track World Championships, just one month after breaking her shoulder.
She was competing in the opening race of the omnium when she went down, bringing four others with her.
The collision occurred with one lap to go.
Kenny, who was already participating with a broken shoulder that she sustained at the Track World Cup, walked off the track with a bleeding cut to her face.
Mexico's Lizbeth Salazar was stretchered off the track and The Netherlands' Kirsten Wild was relegated for causing the crash.
The second event in the omnium will take place this afternoon.
