Marianne Vos seals third consecutive Tour of Norway title with three stage wins out of four

Marianne Vos has won another Ladies Tour of Norway title after three stage victories from a possible four in a dominant few days racing.

The three-time world champion finished fifth in the opening stage on Thursday, which was won by fellow Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes.

But Vos, riding for Team CCC, then proceeded to obliterate the field for the next three days as she won everything left on offer to secure the general classification for yet another year.

She is already a legend of the sport having won 25 individual stages in Grand Tours, three world titles, and numerous classics.

And she showed no sign of letting up over the weekend as her overall margin of victory - 29 seconds - was more than the two previous years she has claimed the crown.

Second and third places were both filled by riders from Team Sunweb in the form of American Coryn Rivera and Canadian Leah Kirchmann.

Over the weekend, Vos also returned back to the top of the UCI Women's WorldTour rankings.
