Teenager Beau Greaves beats Fallon Sherrock to claim BDO Scottish Open title

Teenager Beau Greaves beat darts history-maker Fallon Sherrock last night to claim the BDO Scottish Open title.

In the semi-finals, 16-year-old Greaves beat Deta Hedman 5-1, while Sherrock claimed victory over Anastasia Dobromyslova by the same scoreline.

But in the final, Greaves dominated Sherrock, averaging 82 on her way to a 5-2 triumph.

Sherrock, who impressed at the Darts World Championships last December, tweeted her congratulations to the youngster.

She wrote: "Enjoyed the Scottish Open this weekend, just stopped short but Congrats to @beaugreaves180 ???... who played well"

Greaves made headlines in January when she became the youngest player to compete at the BDO World Championships.

The youngster made it to the semi-finals, before being beaten by eventual winner Mikuru Suzuki.
