Double Olympic taekwondo gold medallist Jade Jones has said she will find a way to make history.

Jones won gold at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Games and will make history if she can claim the medal again at Tokyo next summer.

If she achieved another gold she would become the first British woman to win the medal at three successive Olympics.

Her original route to the history books has been delayed after the Olympics were pushed back a year, taking place now from July 23 to August 8, 2021 instead of this summer.

She told BBC Sport: "A champion finds a way and I just have to do that to peak a year later. The Olympics could have been cancelled and I am just grateful I get that chance to do something nobody else has done.

"The hunger will build even more and add fuel to the fire. The hardest part was not knowing. Now we know when it is, we can take the foot off the gas a bit now.

"It is crazy times and we don't know how long we are quarantined for.

"As soon as the rules lift and we go back to training normally, I will sit down with my performance director and coach to re-evaluate and make sure I am peaking for 12 months later than I was meant to be."
