The FA Cup will return from the coronavirus pandemic on the final weekend of June as English football continues to build its summer schedule.

The competition’s quarter-finals, which were drawn just days before football was suspended in March, will take place on June 27 and June 28.

The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on July 18-19, with a date of August 1 pencilled in for the final ’dependent on all safety measures being met’.

The full list of FA Cup quarter-finals are as follows:

• Leicester City v Chelsea
• Newcastle United v Manchester City
• Sheffield United v Arsenal
• Norwich City v Manchester United

No kick-off times or venues for the quarter-final ties have yet been confirmed.

So it is not yet known whether they will go ahead in the ground of the team drawn at home or if they will land in a neutral venue.

Speaking about the tournament’s return, FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said: "The health and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters remains our priority.

"The competition has been an integral part of the English football calendar for nearly 150 years, and we would like to thank the Premier League executive and clubs for their support in scheduling the remaining matches during this unprecedented time."

It comes after the announcement on Thursday that the Premier League will return on June 17 after more than three months without any games.

All matches in England will be played behind closed doors until at least the conclusion of the 2019/20 season.
