Arsenal and Man City maintain perfect starts, while Spurs spoil the party at London Stadium

Tottenham beat West Ham in front of a huge 24,790 crowd, while both Arsenal and Manchester City continued their perfect starts in a busy WSL programme.

The second largest crowd in WSL history packed into the London Stadium, as Rianna Dean and Lucy Quinn gave Spurs a 2-0 win, their second victory of season.

West Ham had several chances to score but Spurs proved more clinical and efficient in front of goal and put away their chances.

The attendance was second only to City's opening match against Manchester United, which saw 31,213 fans at the Etihad Stadium.

City took on Everton in a battle of two unbeaten teams at Southport, but captain Steph Houghton's seventh minute free-kick sealed the win.

Lucy Graham's header for Everton in the 94th minute gave City a scare, but it was cleared off the line and that was the last chance gone.

Leaders Arsenal had a comfortable afternoon with a 4-0 win against Brighton as they continued their excellent form. Captain Kim Little scored the opener through an assist from Vivianne Miedema, before Miedema herself scored the second.

Miedema, who was the top scorer last season, set up Netherlands team-mate Danielle van de Donk for the third before Jordan Nobbs, who came back from injury this season, scored from 18 yards.

Birmingham City's match against Reading was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Yesterday, Manchester United earned a convincing 2-0 win against Liverpool to win their first match of the league season.
