Arsenal's Danielle Carter speaks about her two ACL injuries

Arsenal's Danielle Carter says the two anterior cruciate ligament injuries she has suffered have tested her 'to her limits'.

Carter ruptured her ACL in a match against Bristol City in 2018.

She returned to the game in March 2019 but injured her ACL again in July in a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich.

She said: "The road to recovery has been very, very tough, both mentally and physically.

"I've suffered two ACL's now, been tested probably to my limit I would say. Any time I'm able to go to the gym to do a session or fortunate enough to go outside on the grass for a running session, it's strictly football, it's strictly business."

She then goes on to speak about the public's perception of women's football.

"I think the mindset has shifted in terms of society with women in football. The women's game is massive now and it's still growing."

It is thought Carter will be available towards the end of the Women's Super League season.
