Rachel Williams is leaving Women’s Super League club Birmingham City to explore new opportunities.

Williams has had two playing spells with City, originally signing for the club in 2011. She won the FA Cup in 2012 with City before leaving to join Chelsea in 2013.

She returned to the club in 2017 from Notts County and since her return has made 42 appearances for the club across all competitions.

In a statement, the club described her as a ‘talismanic forward’ and said: “Everyone at Blues would like to thank Rachel for her service to the Club. We wish her the best of luck for the future.”
