Celtic forward Anita Marcos says she wants to score as many goals as former player and legend Henrik Larsson.

The 19 year-old signed with the Scottish Women's Premier League side last week on loan from Atletico Madrid. 

And the Spanish international has been given shirt No 7, the same number as Larsson who spent seven years at Celtic. 

Larsson scored a total of 242 goals for the Scottish side and won four league titles. 

Marcos said: "I know how important this shirt number is to the club. I want to score many goals and win titles like Larsson!"

She is also determined to 'learn and grow' with her new club after she made her debut against Glasgow City in the Scottish Women's Premier League on Friday. 

The side won 2-1 against the defending champions in their first game of the SWPL 2020 season.

She said: "I want to learn and grow with this club and my team-mates. The people have been very nice and I'm enjoying it.

"It was a really nice week. I'm very happy for the experience and I want to play a lot of games for this team.

"We've been working very hard to win every game and after a great pre-season."

She has won the Under-19 European championship with her national side. 

She added: "The game is much more physical here and more direct than in Spain. It's a great learning experience for me."

Celtic will next take on Hearts on March 15 in the SWPL.
