Chelsea forward Pernille Harder has been talking about ‘what has been a great year for me’.

The 28 year-old became the world’s most expensive female footballer in September after she signed for the London club from Frauen Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg for a reported fee of around £300,000.

She has since played in eight games in the league and scored two goals.

“Tonight I will focus on the positives of 2020 and the year to come. I wish everyone a happy and safe new year.”

The Danish star won the UEFA Women's Player of the Year Award becoming the first to win it twice and was also nominated for FIFA’s Best Women’s Player in November.

She is also part of the national side which sealed a spot at Euro 2022 after topping Group B with 28 points.
