England footballer Danny Rose delivers hundreds of pizzas - and personal thanks - to NHS staff at London hospital

England footballer Danny Rose has delivered hundreds of pizzas to NHS staff working at a north London hospital.

The Newcastle star, who is currently on loan from Tottenham, has paid for pizza and potato wedges for staff battling against coronavirus.

This comes after the 29 year-old donated £19,000 to the same hospital - North Middlesex - last week, revealing that is where he received treatment whilst at Spurs.

And fans were quick to praise the footballer: "Top lad Danny #NHSHeroes." And another said: "He’s a class act our Danny Rose. Shout out to all the amazing staff at my local hospital, North Mid. Heroes all!"

Another said: "Small things go a long way,"with one calling him a 'good egg'.

And North Middlesex shared on their social media the video of Rose thanking the staff.

He said: "You’re probably not getting as much recognition as you deserve so I just wanted to say: Thank you very much.

"You are the heroes and the work and the hours you are putting in are not going unnoticed."
