England and Arsenal player Beth Mead has said she is 'gutted' to miss the SheBelieves Cup through injury.

Mead was injured in Arsenal's match against Liverpool last Thursday.

It is a suspected knee injury, although the Gunners haven't confirmed what the injury is or how long she will be out for.

Mead took to Twitter to share her thoughts on missing out. 

She wrote: "Gutted to be missing out through injury, but know the girls will smash it. Bring it home."

Neville said that losing Mead is a 'blow' for England at the press conference for the Lioness squad announcement yesterday.

The SheBelieves Cup gets underway on March 5.
