Everton create new structure to pursue 'one club' vision

Everton are to receive more investment following a change in the club's leadership structure.

The new set-up, led by Everton's chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale, will see her work with chief finance officer Sasha Ryazantsev and Sarvar Ismailov - the club's first ever sporting and commercial director for the women's side.

As well as more investment, Everton have recently moved to their new ground Walton Hall Park.

The club have also promised that the women will have better media coverage, closer ties to their community projects and will have more commercial opportunities.

Barrett-Baxendale said: "Our 'one club' vision is a clear symbol of togetherness and unity.

"We have already taken the progressive and significant steps of bringing our men's and women's teams closer together in identity and location.

"We will now build on the foundations for success - with a clear focus on competing for honours with the elite of women's football."
