Everton players and fans to take part in Goodison Park sleepover

Everton players will join fans in a sleep-out at Goodison Park to raise money for a homeless charity.

The sleepover at the Toffees' home of football is in aid of 'Home is where the Heart is' and the EitC initiative, a charity that supports young people who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.

Aside from the players who have been called up on international duty, all of the women's team will camp out with around 100 supporters.

Everton boss Willie Kirk said: “As a squad we are committed to supporting the fantastic work that Everton in the Community is delivering in Merseyside every day and we are looking forward to what should be a memorable event for everybody involved.

“We are aware that the event is by no means easy, but it’s a cause that deserves our direct attention, and having already seen the fantastic efforts from David and his Under-23s since the project was launched, we were eager to do our bit and help with the cause.”
