The ninth Women's League Cup Final takes place between Chelsea and Arsenal on Saturday at the City Ground in Nottingham.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the first major final of the women's domestic season.

How many times have each team won the League Cup?

Chelsea have never won the League Cup since it was formed in 2011. 

This is also the Blues' first appearance in the final after they were beaten by Manchester City in each of the last two seasons.

By contrast, Arsenal have appeared in all but one of the eight League Cup finals which have taken place.

They have also won the tournament a record five times, the last of which came in 2018.

Are both sides in good form heading into the final?

Chelsea are still unbeaten in the Women's Super League this season and head into Saturday's final off the back of a thrilling 3-3 draw with title rivals Man City.

Emma Hayes' side are in a prime position to be crowned WSL champions, as well as being in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

So, Chelsea have to see this match against Arsenal as a chance to collect the first trophy of a possible treble this season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have looked wholly unconvincing in their last few matches.

A lacklustre defeat to Man City was followed up by a scrappy win over struggling Liverpool.

And last time out they stuttered to a tepid 2-0 win over Women's Championship side Lewes.

Chelsea are without question the favourites ahead of Saturday's final given the form they have shown since the start of the campaign.
