Former Arsenal and England footballer Alex Scott announces she will be a part of Sport Relief team

Former Arsenal and England player Alex Scott has revealed she will be involved in this year's Sport Relief.

The 35 year-old, who won six league titles with the Gunners and is the fourth most capped Lioness of all time, has not yet established what her role on the night will be.

Taking to Twitter to announce the news, she said: "The news is out!! SO EXCITED to be apart of this incredible line up for @sportrelief.

"Catch all the action from 7pm BBC One as we aim to raise money to fund life-changing projects, that tackle mental health, poverty and much more."

Sport Relief will take place from March 9-13, with the main show hosted by Gary Lineker and Paddy McGuinness on Friday, March 13.
