Freya Gregory leaves WSL side Birmingham City

Women’s Super League side Birmingham City have lost another player as Freya Gregory is on the move.

Gregory was at City for two seasons and played for the academy and first team. She made her WSL debut in November against Brighton and Hove Albion.

She said: "The past two seasons with the support from the club, team mates and coaches, so many opportunities were opened up to me and I can’t explain how grateful I am for every bit of it.

"From making my WSL debut, to every training session with the best group of girls.

“The decision has been far from an easy one and I wish the club, players and staff all the best in the future. Excited for what comes next.”

This comes after it was announced Adrienne Jordan has left the club to join US side OL Reign, Brianna Visalli has signed for American team Houston Dash and loanee Georgia Brougham has returned to Everton.

City were in a relegation battle with Liverpool before the WSL was cancelled due to the coronavirus. The club learned today that Liverpool have been relegated and they are safe.
