Honours even for Spurs and Birmingham City as they draw 1-1 in mid-week WSL clash

Tottenham and Birmingham City drew 1-1 in tonight's Women's Super League match.

City's Abbi Grant put them ahead, heading over Spurs' keeper Rebecca Spencer.

Birmingham's Rebecca Holloway nearly made it two for the home side nine minutes later but Spencer made a phenomenal save to stop the free-kick.

The north London side had the chance to equalise in the 44th minute through Rianne Dean but her shot went wide and so Spurs went into the break a goal down.

Spurs had more shots in the second half which eventually paid off as they built on their momentum to make it one goal a piece through Kit Graham in the 73rd minute.

Tottenham remain in seventh position in the table and will play Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, while City, in tenth place, will face Bristol City.
