Kilmarnock and Forfar Farmington fined for postponing League Cup games

Kilmarnock and Forfar Farmington have been fined and forced to forfeit games after postponing cup matches.

Both clubs cancelled their League Cup games on February 16.

Farmington were due to play Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock were supposed to face off with Motherwell.

However, both clubs said that due to 'adverse weather conditons' the matches could not go ahead - something Scottish Women's Football have disagreed with.

The governing body have said the clubs did not have 'just cause' to cancel the games and have now fined both Kilmarnock and Farmington £100 each.

In addition, Partick Thistle and Motherwell have been given 3-0 victories.

The second round of the cup will take place this weekend.
