This week we are previewing one Women's Super League game each day as part of Women's Football Weekend which kicks off this Sunday.

Up first is last season's runners-up Manchester City, who will be looking to bounce back from defeat to Arsenal last time out as they take on mid-table West Ham.

Manchester City vs West Ham

Man City host West Ham on Sunday in the Women's Super League as part of the FA's Women's Football Weekend.

The last three times the two teams have met City have defeated The Hammers, the worst of which came last season when Nick Cushing's side handed the east London club a 7-1 hammering

So far this season West Ham have lost three games out of five in the WSL and are currently sat in seventh position.

Matt Beard's team have been inconsistent so far as they have failed to put together a run of two straight victories.

City, on the other hand, started the season brilliantly with four league victories in a row, sending a message to title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea. 

But last time out they suffered their first defeat when they were beaten by the defending champions Arsenal 1-0.

Ellen White will be hoping she can prove more effective at the weekend than she was coming off the bench against The Gunners as she continues to find her feet at her new club.

The England striker has been injured and so did not make her debut until their match against Birmingham City in the League Cup on November 3, where she scored.

The 30-year-old recently hit the back of the net for England in their historic game against Germany at Wembley.

Meanwhile, West Ham's star player so far has been Martha Thomas, who is their top scorer having netted three times so far this season.
