Manchester City have released a video entitled 'Same City, Same Passion' to show their support for equality in football.

Featuring players from both the men's and women's teams, the video points out that they share 'the same rules, the same goals, the same highs and the same lows' and closes with the message 'It's not women's, or men's football, it's just football'.

The club stated: "Ahead of Sunday’s International Women’s Day celebrations, Manchester City have reiterated our support for equality across football through a commitment to our ground-breaking Same City, Same Passion drive.

"The club-wide pursuit is committed to promoting women's football by demonstrating that the same skills, same excitement and same passion exist wherever a ball is kicked."

The move comes after Great British Racing launched its 'JustJockeys' campaign earlier this week.

The theme, along similar lines, is 'Don't call us female jockeys, we're simply jockeys'.
