Manchester United’s Amy Turner re-signs for the WSL club
Manchester United defender Amy Turner has penned a new deal with the Women’s Super League side that will keep her at the club until at least 2021.
The new deal has an option to extend her contract for a further year should both parties decide.
Turner signed for United in the summer of 2018 and was a part of the squad which gained promotion into the WSL.
She has made 43 appearances for the club and scored three goals.
She said: “I'm really happy to be continuing my journey with this fantastic club, I knew when I joined that we would be creating something special here and I can't wait to get back to playing football next season.
"I want to thank Casey [Stoney] and the coaching staff for their guidance over the last couple of years, and also the fans for all of the support they give us.
"We've been without football for a while now, so I'm just ready to get started next season and show what we can achieve as a team.”
And manager Casey Stoney added: “Amy is a great defender who brings so much professionalism to everything she does.
"She is also a fantastic leader to have in the squad and acts as a real mentor to some of the younger players which will continue to be so important throughout the next season."
This comes after Kirsty Hanson also re-signed for United at the end of last week.
