Rangers' Brogan Hay was 'speechless' when she signed her first professional contract

Rangers player Brogan Hay has said she was 'speechless' when the club offered her a professional contract.

Hay signed with Rangers in December 2019 and has already scored for the Scottish Women's Premier League side.

The 21 year-old said: "It was such an honour, it's been a lifetime goal. To be offered it, I just didn't think it would happen in Scotland, so close to home.

"I was honestly speechless and one of the best decisions I've ever made was to take that opportunity."

Hay added that her love for football came from her family.

"I started kicking the ball about with my sister who's also into football. My uncle played for Partick Thistle as well, so we have quite a football family. I guess it just started from there."

Her sister, Kodie, plays for SWPL team Hamilton Academical and her uncle is former Thistle and Airdrieonians footballer Stephen McKeown.
