23 mins: Houghton nearly looses the ball in the penalty spot but City left-back Demi Stokes remains composed and pushes the ball forward. She places a near-perfect ball for the forward line but is it no received. 

25 mins: CHANCE!

It's got very exciting at Leigh Village after United's Jessica Sigsworth shot bounces off the top of the bar. 

The Blues are quick to respond as they get the ball to their attacking box and Houghton gets a header away but once again, Earps gets her hands on it.  

29 mins: GOALLLL!

City's Ellen White gets an open goal after a horrible mistake from United's McManus. 

31 mins: CHANCE!

Stanway on the right wing comes in fast and quick with a powerful shot on goal but Earps gets herself back in the game with an excellent save. 

White capitalised on the opportunity which she was given on a plate!

Let's see if City can get another before half-time...

36 mins: United are trying to recover from their mistake by putting heaps of pressure on City's defence. 

Some sloppy work from City after United have entered the box several times but have been unable to finish. Frustrating times for both sides as half time approaches!

41 mins: No team is dominating possession here. It will be interesting to see what both managers will have to say to their teams in the changing rooms. 

45 + 2 mins: It's not good news for City's Jill Scott who takes a blow to the lower back. 

Cushing not looking too uncomfortable on the side of the pitch, but not showing great excitement with his teams performance. 

United push in the last minute with a new found energy but are yet to get the final pass. It does show their young development and perhaps lack of experience against top teams such as City.
